Ridge Gilley, DDS, Board Certified Periodontist
Dr. Gilley earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1986 and was commissioned in the United States Air Force the same year. He devoted 30 years of faithful service to his country, retiring in 2016 at the rank of full Colonel. He received his specialty training in Periodontics through the US Air Force along with a Master of Science in Periodontics from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1994. Dr. Gilley gained his board certification through the American Board of Periodontology in 1996.
During his time in the Air Force, Dr. Gilley maintained a robust clinical practice and for 17 years was on the teaching staff at the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residencies at Andrews & Bolling Air Force Bases. He is also an adjunct faculty member for the Department of Periodontics, Naval Postgraduate Dental School, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. Dr. Gilley has extensive experience in provider credentialing and the use of Clinical Practice Guidelines to ensure delivery of dental treatment with the highest standards of care and patient safety.
Dr. Gilley is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Maryland State Dental Association, American Board of Periodontology, and Patuxent Dental Society.
